FIFA has decided the colors to be used by the teams

The maximum soccer entity has determined the cloth to be worn by the 32 teams that will be playing the first stage in Germany from June 9th. FIFA determined the color for the shorts, shirts and socks for every team.

In most cases the traditional characteristics of the country’s clothes will be respected. For the first game that Argentina will be playing against Netherlands, they will be wearing the usual white and sky blue shirt with black shorts and white socks. Netherlands will be wearing their classic orange shirt.

Italian ISPs sue government for gambling prohibition

Italian Internet service providers (ISPs) have brought a lawsuit against the government’s new regulations with regards to online gambling, as they would affect services provided to some Internet gaming sites.

As a consequence of this “censorship case”, at first the providers carried out the new regulations, modifying their services in order to avoid that Italians could access prohibited sites. However, ISPs are now raising their voices, as they consider that this law is an act of violence against their companies and their clients’ liberty of action.

Casinos’ revenues in Macau grew 16.5% in 2006

The global incomes of casinos in Macau grew 16.5% during the first quarter of 2006, compared to the last three months of 2005, according to the city’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Office.

Altogether, the revenues generated by the 19 casinos that are operating in Macau reached 1,5 billion dollars, most of which came from Chinese tourists who visited the small peninsula from the rest of the country.

Mississippi Gaming Commission recently approved the new casino plans presented by Leucadia National Corp., a New York based enterprise, which is interested in rebuilding Biloxi’s Hard Rock Casino and Resort. The floating Casino was scheduled to open the same day that hurricane Katrina destroyed it. The casino value was $235 million.

III Gaming Congress held in Burgos

The III Castilla & León Gaming Congress, held on the 18th and 19th of April in Burgos (Spain), referred mainly to legal aspects, taxes and advertising in the gambling industry, besides other hot topics related to bingos, rooms and casinos.

Tribal Casino in Oklahoma and its manager will pay $2.5 million

A casino established in Oklahoma and its manager agreed to pay fines for up to $2.5 million for violations of the federal precautions destined to fight financial crime.

However, the government authorities informed that, in spite of the Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma and Edward E. Street, the man that guides the daily operations of the game’s precinct, agreed to the imposed sanction, neither denied or admitted the committed accusations.

Australian casinos are pressing the federal government to reach an agreement and be exonerated from the “Know your Clients” bill. The bill has been proposed by the government to fight money laundry and terrorism. The bill says that all Australian financial institutions and casinos must check all their clients’ background.

However, Chris Downy, CEO for Australian Casino Association, plans to argue the bill. According to Downy, casinos should be treated differently.
