The III Castilla & León Gaming Congress, held on the 18th and 19th of April in Burgos (Spain), referred mainly to legal aspects, taxes and advertising in the gambling industry, besides other hot topics related to bingos, rooms and casinos.
The Congress, organized by the Ministry and Territorial Administration of the Castilla y León’s Board, was also sponsored by Burgos’ city and county council. About 150 experts gathered in this event “to create a forum of debate and reflection about the problems that affect this market”, according to a press release sent to MediaGambling’s newsroom.
Another important challenge was to “turn the region into a national reference where to be able to comment and analyze public policies about this subject and create a place of gathering for the public administrations and the private sector”.
The gaming sector includes more than 500 companies, generates more than 3000 jobs and about 100 million euros for the community, increasing considerably the Treasury incomes. Nowadays, Castilla y León has 22 bingos, three casinos, 53 entertainment rooms and 48 gaming rooms. The number of establishments and pubs offering slot machines reaches 16,119.
