The Mayor of Monte Hermoso, Alejandro Dichiara, declared that the Academia de Casinos de la Provincia would be launched soon, after Engineer Franco Laporta, from the Lottery and Casino Institute of Buenos Aires (IPLyC), confirmed his approval.
This academy will offer training courses for Roulette Croupiers, Card Games Dealers (Blackjack, Poker and Craps), Assistants, Cashiers and Machine Assistants that will be taught by Monte Hermoso Institute professionals, so as to provide qualified staff for the city Casino. These courses last between 20 and 70 days, depending on the function to be learnt, being that of the Roulette Croupier the one that requires the longest training period.
Prior to enrollment, applicants will have to attend an interview, besides complying with the following requirements: be an Argentinian or natural between 18 and 25 years old, be a resident in the area for at least two years, have completed secondary education and have the time availability necessary for each course.
Any of the positions has a salary of around $1,030 pesos a month upon admission, although the marks obtained by the students will determine their placement in the scale of incomes.
